Ingredients
For the guacamole layer:
- 2 ripe avocados
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
For the tuna layer:
- 200g fresh tuna (sashimi grade), diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
For serving and garnish:
- 1/2 red radish, thinly sliced
- 1 small jalapeño, sliced
- Fresh green onions or chives, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds (black and white)
Preparation
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it with a fork, then add the lime juice, season with salt and pepper to taste, and finally stir in the chopped cilantro.
Next, dice the tuna into small cubes and mix with olive oil, lime juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
For layering, use a serving ring. Press the guacamole into the ring as the first layer, making it compact. Then, layer the tuna on top, pressing gently as well.
Once the layers are ready, top the tower with thinly sliced radishes, jalapeño, and green onion strips, then sprinkle with sesame seeds. If desired, add a few drops of lime juice or hot sauce for extra flavor. Carefully remove the tower from the ring and serve with tortilla chips or toasted bread slices.
OMA Tip
For an extra flavor boost, you can mix a pinch of wasabi cream or soy sauce with the tuna.
Feel free to get creative with the vegetable decoration: cucumber slices or microgreens would also pair wonderfully with this dish.
